Creative indoor physical activity around Portland
We have previously posted a blog about fun indoor activities to do around Portland, but come February it seems like maybe everyone could use some fresh ideas for how to get through the winter months. If getting up to the mountain isn’t in your agenda during these gray days, and your looking for a few fun options to get moving in the city, consider these options:
- Revolution Parkour – is a parkour gym in Beaverton that offers classes, as well as open-gym hours. If you’re looking to hone your acrobatic skills and improve your ability to get over obstacles quickly, this is the place to do it. From looking at their new website, it looks like they have a bunch of cool new obstacles to explore.
- CrossFit – Ever heard of a “WOD” – workout of the day? CrossFit invented it, and they’ve taken over the fitness industry with high intensity circuit training, that focuses on functional skills and Olympic lifting. Portland and the surrounding metro area are graced with many Crossfit affiliate gyms, so you can probably find one in any part of town you reside.
- Indoor Mountain Biking – Okay, it’s not quite here yet, but pretty soon there will be an indoor park opening up in Portland. Check out what’s going on over at the Lumberyard. How cool is that!
