Ben Musholt
Ben graduated summa cum laude with his physical therapy degree from the University of New Mexico in 2001. His interest in PT dates back to his high school years, when he had to rehabilitate through multiple orthopedic surgeries for injuries sustained in competitive gymnastics. Now an avid trail runner, martial artist, and amateur acrobat, Ben lets his enthusiasm for human movement spill over into his practice of physical therapy. He is also the creator of a popular physical therapy exercise software and benmusholt.com blog.
Bryan Pasternak
Bryan’s passion is helping people move better and with less pain. He has been a Physical Therapist (MPT, University of Delaware.) for 12 years and has a diverse background. Prior to joining Beyond The Clinic in March 2009, he was involved in starting and building Tuality Hospital’s Spine Program and OHSU’s Spine and Sport Center on the waterfront. Bryan utilizes his additional degrees in Exercise Physiology (MS, Penn State) and Nutrition (BS, Cornell University.) when possible. His hobbies revolve around endurance sports, weight training and gardening.
Ivan Rott
Ivan has been working in the field of physical therapy since 2007, starting as an aide, while completing his bachelor's degree in exercise science at Linfield College. He then moved to Southern California for PT school, graduating from Cal State University of Northridge in 2011. He has been working as a Physical Therapist in the Portland area since then. His specialty is in orthopedics and he is passionate about helping people get back to the things they love. In his free time, Ivan enjoys hiking, traveling, gardening, cycling and partaking in the Portland food scene.
Aaron Saari
Aaron first became interested in physical therapy at the University of Michigan where he graduated with a degree in exercise physiology in 1997 and applied this knowledge to college athletes. In 2001, he earned his graduate PT degree from Central Michigan University. He went on to work full time with U.S. Ski Team athletes helping them to win Gold and Silver medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics. With a passion for all types of adventure sports including skiing, climbing, and surfing, Aaron utilizes an eclectic approach and his expertise with elite athletes to treat all his patients.
Trevor Stephenson
Trevor graduated with his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002 from Central Michigan University. He utilizes therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and movement/postural re-education in his treatment approach, and is experienced in treating sports injuries and surgical patients. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, surfing, skiing, and competing in triathlons.

Office Staff

Alicia Crocket
Alicia has been working for Beyond the Clinic since April 2011 and is grateful to work for such an amazing company. Over the past 18 years, she has worked in variety healthcare settings, and she is currently our Clinic Manager. In her free time, she loves to hike and explore nature, ride her bike, be with her son, and produce a line of all natural skin care products.
Jess DeVries
Jess has been with Beyond the Clinic since April 2012 and brings many years of admin experience from social services and alternative healthcare. When she isn’t managing the front end of the office, you can find her crocheting, playing volleyball and cooking food with friends.
Lori Brandon
Lori has been with Beyond the Clinic since 2016 and has a passion for helping people feel better. Besides making sure the office operates as smooth as possible, she enjoys working in her yard and spending time with her husband and their two chocolate labs.

Beyond the Clinic was formed in 2009 with the mission to transform how healthcare is provided in Portland.
